“April is the cruelest month,
breeding lilacs out of the dead land,
mixing memory and desire,
stirring dull roots with spring rain.”
– T.S. Eliot
April can be a polarizing month. Snow, then a heat wave. Sunny, blue skies one day, then thick, gray clouds, spitting down icy rain, the next.
It seems perfectly appropriate that April is the month of Passover, Good Friday and Easter; collective symbolic observances of sacrifice culminating in celebrations of freedom.
April is also National Poetry month. Of poetry, Mark Nepo said ‘We have cast it in society as entertainment, when it’s air to breathe. We need art and poetry to help us express who we are, and stay in relation to what matters.’
In addition to the new birth and growth, for many, spring brings loss and death. And yet, this stark contrast makes life ever more vivid. Death brings about a very sacred opportunity to see what really matters. In relation to consciousness and ego, we may die countless deaths in one lifetime. Knowing that the death of outdated aspects of our self allows for space and freedom, then what would be possible if we learned to welcome or even celebrate death? What is death but a door? And, how can we courageously step through it to live a fuller and more potent life?
In December 2012, I wrote about a death and rebirth of sorts; the convergence of the end of two major astronomical cycles, the end of the Mayan calendar. As i wrote in 2012, for the next 2,000 years, more or less, the Earth is passing through a Photon Belt. Photons have a very powerful effect on our consciousness and all of life in our solar system. As the Golden Age dawns, many have noticed a shift–perhaps we relate to time a bit differently. Maybe we took on a new perspective or had a series of big life changes. Whatever it was for you, 2012 was a memorable year.
I believe we are right in the middle of another major shift. The new “flavor of ascension” if you will. Hot on the heels of the March equinox, this April is also marked with a blood moon eclipse on the 15th and a solar eclipse on April 29th. On April 23rd, the climactic energy of the Cardinal Grand Cross is present. A Cardinal Grand Cross happens when four planets oppose each other (this time at a 90 degree angle) in the four cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. This alignment creates a dynamic tension which can break and/or strengthen our spirit and as Robert Wilkinson said, “It can be a catalyst in facing a darkness that we may have not have accepted yet. The ‘squareness’ of a Grand Cross can also awaken our ability to conceive its opposite: harmony and flow. Every hindrance has the potential to lift the curtains of focused intent and perseverance. Every obstacle (Grand Crosses are sure to bring some) has the innate tendency to awaken our higher self in order to appreciate challenges and to show us how strong we really are.”
How does what is happening in the sky affect you? Many of those who study the symbolism of the sky agree that this time can be a powerful one to clean up our acts and clear out any misalignments.
‘As above, so below.’
As we absorb more Light, there are some effects to be aware of. As vibration continues to rise, all systems, both internal and external of ourselves that are not based on love and cooperation, will eventually collapse. You may feel like you are being shaken up and shaken loose of what you are holding on to. Sometimes, out of fear, our ego tries to preserve itself, falsely promising control and protection. As we transmute our old beliefs and habits, our relationships shift and our life moves into the chaos of change to allow space for the transformation. Robert Wilkinson stated, “Some things will fracture, fall apart, and dis-integrate…there are times to build, times to maintain, and times for things to fall apart. When something has fulfilled its purpose or life span, there’s nothing left to do but witness the passage with as much compassion, love, kindness, and pure depth experience as we can. Go with the flow of your emotional intelligence, don’t get hooked into the hard edges or general crazymaking, and go to your core to get the right perspective on what matters and what doesn’t.”
As our vibration increases, our shadow and egoic patterns may become glaringly obvious. They are being revealed so we can transcend them. Now is the time of transparency. To make an easier, more gentle transition to the new frequency and paradigm, allow the fullness of your shadow. Then be responsible for it. Parts of us will continue to pass away. Give yourself the gift of clean deaths. Make space for the new adventures. As Tears for Fears said, ‘Break it down again. No more sleepy dreaming!’
We can’t bypass the human journey. It’s the cocoon that releases our spirit. It’s been said that we will either shed willfully or be broken open. We are receiving loving invitations to make the changes NOW for that which is not in alignment with the truth of our being. Deconstruction is a vital precursor to Construction. It’s time to acknowledge and release.
What are MEPS? Mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual nuggets of goodness that you can begin applying immediately. Here are some keys to assist you in your “shedding and alignment process.
Hyp Keys to dying stylishly
Hyp Keys are formulated to expand your awareness by incorporating subconscious communication friendly principles in a MEPS format.
M mental – Write an obituary for any habit, relationship, belief or part of you that you have outgrown. Acknowledge the beauty of the purpose it served and make note of what you have learned. Write down the commitment you have to carrying on the legacy of the gift of that experience.
E emotional – Moods may see-saw, up and down until we stabilize. Breathe. Laugh. Cry. Develop radical compassion. Practice acceptance. Laugh more. Practice loving ALL of yourself and others. Make room for your shadow, but maintain healthy boundaries. Beware of projection. Protect yourself from the projection of other people. Know that truth will be revealed eventually.
P physical – Our bodies are detoxing. Eckhart Tolle writes in the Power of Now, “Transformation can only occur through the body.” With all the shifts in energetic frequencies, the human body is being put under enormous stress. Increase your capacity to transmute and tune-in to the new frequencies. Take really good care with your diet. Soak. Move your body.
S spiritual – SURRENDER. transformation will be easier for us if we let go. Act a little more unified, a little more timeless. Meditate. BE HERE NOW, Be present, even if just a bit longer than usual. Stretchhhhhhh. Imagine absorbing more of those photons and solar energy. Flow with the shifts. Allow. Accept.
Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present, and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.
